The Allahabad high court has held that “right to choose a partner, irrespective of religion, is intrinsic to right to life and personal liberty.” Justice Pankaj Naqvi and Justice Vivek Agarwal made these observations while quashing an FIR of kidnapping, forcible conversion and case under the POCSO Act against a man accused of forcefully converting and marrying a Hindu girl.
