California AG Considering Legal Challenge to Use of Force on Border

California attorney general Xavier Becerra said Wednesday that his office is “monitoring” the use of force against a caravan of migrants and the possible closure of the southern border and considering filing a legal challenge. “We have been approached by folks who have expressed complaints,” Becerra told Reuters in an interview. Becerra, a Democrat and former member of Congress, suggested that president Trump’s threat to close the border in response to the influx of central American migrants arriving in caravans might provide a legal avenue to challenge the administration, provided the border closure affects a California resident. from Yahoo News - Latest News & Headlines https://ift.tt/2FJcA4O

Did Pak's desire to emerge from isolation spur Kartarpur initiative?

Pakistan's decision to agree to a Kartarpur corridor was likely driven by a desire to emerge from its current state of isolation as well as a calculation that the initiative could provide an opportunity to radicalise or indoctrinate Indian pilgrims who visit the shrine.

Claire Foy actually knows all the lyrics to 'Rapper's Delight'

There is a weird rumour that Emmy-winner Claire Foy, of The Crown fame, knows all the words to The Sugarhill Gang's 1979 classic "Rapper's Delight." The fact that Foy is a fan of early rap is fun enough, but Jimmy Fallon couldn't let the actress leave her Thursday appearance on The Tonight Show without spitting out a few bars. While deeply embarrassed about being put on the spot, Foy went ahead and yes, she nailed it. Read more... Laura Loomer's IRL Twitter protest has become ... a Twitter meme

Far-right personality Laura Loomer, who was banned from Twitter last week for an Islamophobic tweet about Minnesota representative-elect Ilhan Omar, has handcuffed herself to a door at Twitter's NYC headquarters in protest. This incredible Mad Lib came to pass Thursday afternoon, when Loomer, armed with flyers and a sign with her own tweet printed on it, staged a protest outside the office. (She only handcuffed herself to one door , ostensibly to avoid a fire hazard. Thoughtful!) Since Loomer's protest began, she has lost her sign, gotten her sign back, lost her megaphone, yelled a lot, and claimed that she no longer has the key to her handcuffs. Read more...
